For breweries & taprooms

Brewery POS: taproom, bottle shop and tastings on one till

One till for your taproom, your bottle shop and your tasting flights, whether you are pouring in the taproom or serving craft beer at a festival. We are called 20Tabs, by the way, not 20Taps. Promise: that is the worst joke on this page.

Ease of use

Your taps change, your till changes with them

A tap list moves faster in a taproom than a menu does in a pub. A keg blows, another beer goes on, and within a minute that has to be right on every device.

Putting a new beer on is your own job

A seasonal beer or a one-off batch goes on the list in a few taps, from your phone or simply from behind the bar. It is live on every device in the taproom straight away, with no import file and no waiting on anyone else.

Bottles for home scan in alongside

If you also sell bottles, cans or glassware from the shop, you ring those up with a barcode instead of hunting through a long list. Same till and same bill as the beer on tap.

Take your till to the festival

Trading off site or at a beer festival? 20Tabs runs on your phone over 4G or 5G. Add a device for as long as it is busy, without your subscription going up.

Tastings

A tasting flight stays one bill

Five beers in a set order, with a tour alongside it or left to the guest to work through. You put the flight on the bill as a whole, and anything ordered on top slots in behind it.

One price, built from your own beers

You put a flight together from beers you already sell, or with options you set up for that flight alone. The guest pays one fixed price and you keep sight of exactly what was poured.

Visible per round at the taps

While you pour, a screen at the taps shows which round is up, so you know which beer goes out next. No slips by the taps and no doubt about the order.

Settle together or each on their own

A tour group of twenty settles in one go, or you split the bill and send everyone their own payment link. For a business group you send a single invoice instead.

Why breweries choose 20Tabs

Tap, bottle and tasting on the same till

Beer on tap, bottles from the shop and a flight at a fixed price all ring up in the same system: by name, by table or paid outright. You do not need a separate little till for the shop.

Insight per beer, not just per night

You can see per beer what is moving and which one has been on the same tap for a fortnight. So you know what to brew or buy again before you order, rather than afterwards.

Quiet Thursday, packed Saturday

A taproom is often only properly full a few days a week. On one of those days you add a device and afterwards you take it away again, with no charge per terminal and no licence juggling.

A till for craft beer: what is different from a regular pub

A brewery rarely sells nothing but a pint at the bar. You have a taproom with beers that rotate, bottles to take home from the shop, and tastings at a fixed price. Run those three on separate systems, or as loose products you keep apart by hand, and your revenue will add up at the end of the month while you still do not know which beer did it.

In 20Tabs you ring beer up through buttons you lay out yourself, and you group your tap list into as many categories as make sense to you. With a large or fast-moving list you can also find a beer by search or by barcode. Everything goes by name, by table or paid outright, so your taproom and your shop run on the same system.

Tastings are where a POS system for craft beer proves itself. You put a flight together from beers you already sell, or with fixed options you set up for that flight. While you pour, the flight is visible round by round on a screen at the taps, so you know exactly which beer goes out next. No slips by the taps, no doubt about the order.

Then there is your stock. Because you can see per month which craft beers keep moving and which ones sit, you know what to brew again and what to swap out. A restock list also shows you per product what has gone out since the last count, so you top up your cold store and your shop on numbers rather than on gut feel. That all reads back in your reports, and it is in every subscription.

Frequently asked questions about a POS system for breweries

What is a good POS system for a brewery or taproom?

A good brewery POS handles several ways of selling on one till: beer on tap, bottles in the shop and tastings at a fixed price. Along with that comes insight per product, so you can see which craft beer keeps moving and which has been on the same tap for weeks. And it works on the devices you already have, including when you are selling off site.

Can I add rotating seasonal beers quickly?

Yes. You add a new beer in a few taps from your phone, laptop or till screen, and it is available on every device in the taproom straight away. No import tools and no sluggish back office.

How does a tasting or beer flight work on the till?

You put a flight together from beers you already sell, or with options you set up separately. While you pour, the flight is visible round by round on a screen at the taps, so you know exactly which beer goes out next. Anything ordered on top simply lands on the same bill.

Can I run my bottle shop on the same till?

Yes. Bottles, cans and glassware ring up with a barcode or through a button, on the same device as the beer on tap. You see the shop revenue separately in your reports, without needing a second system for it.

What does a taproom till cost?

Between €100 and €500 a month for a complete brewery till, based on your revenue. No setup fees and no charge per terminal, even when you put extra devices out for a tasting or a festival. You can start from €25 a month with 20Tabs Go (plus 2% of revenue).
